STRIPED STOCKING PATTERN

-

This pattern is also worked in rounds using 2 colours (yarn A and B) to create the stripes and a third colour (yarn C) to create the heel and trim.

Each round is completed with a slip stitch and you carry the 2 yarns up the inside of the stocking swapping between stripes so there is no need to cut the yarn at the end of each round.

Sometimes the slip stitch is worked as a normal slip stitch and sometimes it is worked into the back loop only, this will be indicated on the pattern for each round. Use the stitch marker as guided below to mark the start of each round.

Once you reach the stitch marker you will be instructed to slip stitch into the marked stitch. At this point you can remove the stitch marker ready to mark your first stitch of the next round.
