“Puglia will always be a huge part of my life; it really is quite magical. Don’t go there if you’re expecting a fast paced, action-packed holiday. This is a place where I feel time stands still and you can really take your foot off the gas.

“Some of the most beautiful beaches with hardly anyone on them can be found on each coastline and you can pack a red bikini and try to recreate the infamous Helen Mirren pap shot if you’re feeling very brave!”

Lorraine Kelly

The daytime TV presenter has been lucky enough to travel all over the world but admits she loves the immense beauty of southern Africa. “I love going on safari and seeing animals in the wild where they belong. I’d like to visit Angola, Madagascar and go back to Tanzania, where the wildlife was so varied.”

Earlier this year Lorraine travelled from the South Atlantic to South Georgia, following in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton. She made the special trip with husband, Steve. “Spending three weeks together on our own was wonderful.”

Sarah Beeny

The property guru loves hopping across the Channel for some holiday fun. “France is definitely my favourite country for a holiday.”

As well as exploring the beautiful French countryside, Sarah and her family love the romance of the big cities. “We love Paris as much as the countryside. Standing underneath the Eiffel Tower is always impressive. We always head for the Palace of Versailles.

“I’ve been going there since I was a child, having first visited the French capital with my mother when I was about eight. It’s the sort of place I can never tire of.”
