Money Talk

-

If you love a trip to the movies, you may be tempted by cinema season tickets.

I’m talking the likes of Cineworld’s Unlimited card and Odeon’s Limitless. The Odeon card starts from £17.99 a month, and Cineworld from £17.90. Go twice a month or more and you could save money, but read the small print carefully or you can end up spending a lot more!

You can pay monthly, but with both you’ll need to sign up for a year, which means shelling out over £200 in total, and you’ll be signed up on a rolling contract which means giving a month’s notice before the year’s up or they’ll keep taking your money.

With both deals, you’ll get tickets for standard 2D films, but with special screenings like 3D, 4DX, Imax or Gallery, you’ll pay more. With Cineworld this can be nearly £5 a time as you pay the price difference between a 2D and premium ticket, based on prices on the day. You’ll get other discounts like 10% off cinema snacks, but even so, they’re still pricey, so you’re better off stocking up on bags of chocolates at Poundland first.

Check if you’d be better off with yearround deals like the Meerkat Movies 2 for 1 every Tuesday or Wednesday when you buy products from COMPARETHEMARKET. COM WWW.COMPARETHEMARKET.COM/MEERKAT/ MOVIES. You can make big savings on midweek deals including Odeon’s Bargain Monday, Vue’s Super Monday, Empire’s Sav£rday Tuesday and Last Chance To See Thursdays.
