DASH To It

-

The DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Diet is an eating pattern devised by US health authorities to lower high blood pressure. It has been linked, in several studies, to a lower incidence of dementia. It is based on daily servings of whole grains, lean meat, poultry and fish, fruit and veg, low-fat dairy, limited fats and oils and is low in sodium (salt). Similar to a traditional Mediterranean diet, it’s lower in fat. WWW.NHLBI.NIH.GOV/HEALTH-TOPICS/DASH-EATING-PLAN
