THE WINNERS!

It was lovely to welcome the winners of the My Weekly Meet The Team competition to the party and to our office the following day. Speaking about the Helping Hand Appeal they told us:

KAREN: “It’s fantastic! The fact you can follow with the magazine the difference that’s being made is really good, because it makes a difference when people can see where their money is going. It’s interesting how Mary’s Meals say just £13.90 will feed a child for a whole year. That’s nothing to us; you can spend that in McDonalds.”

LINDA: “The money that’s being made is 100% going to the benefit of Mary’s Meals. Oftentimes we have disasters in this world, and we’re encouraged to give money to this appeal and that appeal and we don’t really know where our money is going. But it’s so nice to find out tonight that 100% of the money is going to the cause.” Speaking about seeing behind the scenes at My Weekly, they said: PAT: “It really is amazing when it all comes together! And it looks like good fun!”

ELAINE: “I think My Weekly makes you feel normal. Some magazines, you read them and the models are all perfect and that’s not for normal people, rather artificial people.”

KAREN: “And when you see the pics readers send in! Funnily enough I saw someone last week on the readers’ page. I was like, ‘Oh, I know her!’”
