Smooth, moisturise, and then spray on a golden glow… all you need to step out this summer feeling your most fabulous best!

1. NEW TRADITION Astral Face & Body Moisturise­r £2.99, Boots is a reliable beauty classic to keep skin moisturise­d and soft. As well as the original formula there’s a new, intensive cream with Shea Butter as well as Intensive Moisturisi­ng Body Wash with Coconut Oil £4.69. All creamy, nourishing and great value.

2. GOLDEN GLAMOUR Exotic, coconut-y Bronzing Golden Mist £6.65, Superdrug moisturise­s skin and gives a glamorous golden, shimmering tan that looks lovely on bare shoulders at cocktail hour. Hold the bottle 6 inches from skin and spritz lightly as a little goes a long way. Allow plenty of time to absorb before dressing.

3. ON THE SPOT Age spots, where too much melanin results in darker patches of skin, are unsightly, but help is at hand from Eucerin Anti-Pigment range, including face cream and serum to reduce their appearance. Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector £16, Boots is ideal for small areas; dab on sparingly after cleansing.

4. DOUBLE VALUE Dr Pawpaw Scrub & Nourish £9, Sainsbury’s contains lip scrub in the top of the little yellow pot to massage in at bedtime and lip balm in the bottom to smooth on when you wake. Both fruity products are 100% natural, feel pleasant on the skin and leave lips looking luscious. Good value.

5. SHEER FINISH Powder foundation­s can feel cakey on mature skin but Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Complexion Powder £28, Debenhams is lightweigh­t and moisturisi­ng. Use sparingly as foundation, as setting powder over foundation or dust over the T-zone to keep shine at bay. In a handy mirrored compact.

6. SUPER SHINY Get your hair gleaming with an ultra-hydrating hair mask. Davines The Spotlight Circle £8, Davines Salons/Amazon is a rich, creamy moisturisi­ng concoction of oils, vitamins and proteins to brighten and condition for super-shiny hair. Worth it for a special occasion or just to look your best anytime!
