✦ In reply to Iris’s Inbox letter about putting her magazines in the recycling bin: after I have read my copy, I pass it on to an elderly friend who passes it on to her friend. I’m not sure about its further onward journey. My friend also gives me her magazine which I pass on. Magazines are too precious to be read just once and recycled. Passing it on also means I have the chance to have a chat and make sure they are OK. Marcella

✦ I carry my phone with me everywhere and I love that it means I always have a camera handy. I’ve managed to snap some stunning photos. Some of my favourites are a heron taking off from a river with a fish in its mouth and a stunning display of crocuses. A holiday company liked the crocuses so much they used it on their website! Rose
