Jack Hedley
After beginning his career as a cadet at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, it’s no wonder Jack Hedley played Lieutenant Colonel John Preston so well. Unfortunately Jack’s military career ended early as he was invalided out due to injury. After this he went on to star in Colditz as well as the television version of Brief Encounter (1974) and Bond classic For Your Eyes Only (1981). Jack passed away last year at the age of 92.
