✦ It was fab to see singer & entertainer Jane McDonald on the cover of edition 5608. I enjoyed catching up with what this interesting lady is up to. It has certainly not been the best year, losing her beloved partner, but in Jane’s own words, the show must go on.

✦ When our grandsons Alex and Alfie were small and learning their colours we lived near a farm. They loved seeing the tractors passing the house and soon learned which colour each tractor was and the make. The only problem was when we pointed to colours in a book they didn’t use the actual colour name, they would say New Holland for blue, John Deere for green, and Massey Ferguson for red. It took a while to get around this!
