We’re Making Friends…
With robotic pets this week. These cute, furry electronic companions are designed to provide comfort to older people who are living with dementia or simply feeling lonely. They make realistic sounds and have sensors that enable them to respond to motion and touch. Unlike therapy animals, they don’t have to be fed, walked or looked after, and they help fight feelings of depression and loneliness as well as reducing stress levels and anxiety among older adults with dementia. We just love how cute they are!
