We’re worried to hear about some of the beauty hacks doing the rounds on TikTok. According to Waleeb Taleb, aesthetician at the Vera Clinic, you should absolutely not try these:

SKIN ICING – massaging ice cubes into your skin to tighten it and make it glow. It can cause redness and pain.

SLUGGING – coating your face in Vaseline overnigght. This can clog your pores – use a suitable moisturiseriser insteadinstead.

PUTTING TOOTHPASTE ON SPOTS – it can help dry out the skin in the affected area but can cause irritation too. Not worth the risk.
