● Homes Under The Hammer has some A-list fans. Meryl Streep said on The Graham Norton Show she loved watching it. I’m told that Daniel Craig has it on in his Winnebago when filming and apparently Sir Paul McCartney likes watching it at the gym!
● I owe my TV career to a slice of lemon meringue pie! I was working in local radio at BBC Manchester. Queuing for lunch I saw this phosphorescent yellow lemon meringue. I laughed about it with the guy next to me. He said I’d be good on TV and to give him a call. I later discovered he was the head of TV! I called and started presenting a few children’s programmes.
