Dilly’s Craft Corner

-

Interiors Expert Dilly Orme says, “Add contrasting colour and texture with pompoms. Here’s how to make them…”

Trace two circles on cardboard. This will be the size of your pompom; a drinking glass is ideal. Cut the circles out. Draw smaller circles within the bigger circles, then cut out the small ones. Put the card rings together, then cut a snip through both. Hold the two rings together, thread yarn through the snip and evenly wrap it around the ring until the circle in the middle is filled in. With scissors, cut the yarn between the two rings all the way round. Cut a length of yarn and tie a tight knot around the middle of the pompom. Bring the ends around the other side and tie another knot, the tighter the better! Remove the cardboard and trim the pompom. Over-stitch onto cushion corners or be inspired by this fun blanket from Kip & Co, £55, ANTIPODREAM.CO.UK.
