A DECLINED AWARD
Marlon Brando famously declined his Best Actor winner for TheGodfather and sent Native American actress Sacheen Littlefeather in his place. He was protesting against the way Native Americans were depicted in Hollywood. While lots of the attendees supported her, there were also several boos.
