She Visits Without Giving Me Notice!

home body and love pottering around my garden or conservatory, but what do I do about a well-meaning friend who keeps dropping by? She’ll just be in the neighbourhood, bought too many scones or drop in a book. It never occurs to her that she’s intruding. Her husband retired recently and I think she’s bored. My husband, who makes himself scarce, says to tell her straight, but I can’t be that rude. Do you have any advice?
