Create a set of beautiful pictures with dried flowers. Be inspired by these gorgeous ones – Pressed Flower Canvas Triptych from Cox & Cox COXANDCOX.CO.UK. For the best results choose flat headed flowers. Press them by placing the heads and stems on a piece of blotting paper, making sure they have enough room to flatten. Add a piece of blotting paper on top and place in a flower press, available from HOOBYCRAFT.CO.UK, or under a stack of books – for around 5 weeks. Alternatively press a low heat iron onto the paper to speed up the process and create pressed flowers in an instant. Ensure you don’t push the iron across the paper as it will tear the petals – just press and lift over the paper. Then, using PVA glue, secure the flowers in place onto a thin canvas or watercolour paper.
