Slug Resistant Plants

-

Some plants are slug resistant, either because they have toxins in their leaves such as euphorbias or foxgloves, or because they have hairy foliage such as lambs’ ears. Slugs are also less attracted to the strongly tasting or bitter leaves of herbs, while for shady areas there are hellebores, cyclamen and ferns which won’t get munched. Hardy geraniums and lady’s mantle are less vulnerable to slugs, as well as apparently to rabbits. And if you have a problem with those, there’s an RHS list of rabbit-resistant plants!
