Great Loves
● The English National Opera has been a very big influence in my life as we share the same ethos – that music should be available to everyone. The idea that opera is only for the elite few is complete nonsense
● Being a mum has taught me about love. I came from a very loving family but when you have your own children, I experienced a kind of love I had never experienced before. It’s totally unconditional and it blew me away.
● Music helped me to accept my grief for both my parents (my dad died in December 2012 and my mum in September 2013). If you are ever going to pick up the threads and progress as a human being, which is what your parents would want, you must learn to deal with the loss. You will never get over it, but you learn to cope with it.
