I’ve always loved Christmas, so it was a real joy to find a proper plum pudding recipe in my great-aunt Eliza’s cookery notebook. The festive season just isn’t the same without a densely fruited Christmas pudding, and it’s wonderful recreating recipes from the past, particularly when they’ve been passed down through the family.
