Can’t travel without a notebook? Always regaling friends and family with tales from far and wide? If the answer’s yes, then our Travel Writing Competition might be right up your street. Now in its eighth year, it’s the perfect chance for budding writers to have their work published in one of the UK’s most prestigious travel magazines.

We’re looking for 500 words on a travel experience you’ve found inspiring— it could be anything from a safari on the Serengeti to a seaside escape in Cornwall.

Your entry needs to capture the essence of National Geographic Traveller (UK): a strong sense of place, immersive experiences and authentic storytelling with flair and finesse. But time is running out — entries close on 8 July.
