I’m cabin crew and during the first wave of the pandemic, my duty was to travel to China to collect PPE and other cargo. During rest periods, I’d o—en read old issues of National

Geographic Traveller. I always seemed to time it as we were flying over Kazakhstan or Mongolia. It’s so beautiful from 40,000— so I decided to put the area on my bucket list.
