Star of Africa

I was so excited to see Namibia featured on the cover of your March 2021 issue. We were fortunate to visit the country two years ago as a family of five (with three children aged from three to 12) and we all loved it. We went exploring in the very dry and hot Fish River Canyon; sandboarding in Swakopmund; hiking in the Namib Desert around the famous red sand dunes of Sossusvlei; and drove through Etosha National Park, where we were lucky enough to see a pride of lions. My youngest son still points at the TV and says, “Aqua” (he can’t pronounce ‘Africa’ yet) whenever he sees one of the Big Five or his favourite animal, a springbok, run across the screen. Without doubt, Namibia is the trip of a lifetime. CAMILLA LAMBERT
