// What Covid-19 vaccine documentation do I need to travel?

Register your NHS number on covid19.nhs.uk to access your vaccination and test result records and to request an NHS COVID Pass for travel abroad. Alternatively, download the NHS app and follow the same steps. Passes are usually available within 24 hours of a second vaccination, but records can take up to five days to update. You can request a paper pass (vaccine status only) by calling 119. Digital passes last 30 days, restarting at each log-in; paper passes don’t expire. The vaccination card given to you aŸer your jab cannot be used as proof of vaccination for travel.

Children under 18 currently don’t require a vaccine passport (although this may change), but most will need proof of a negative Covid-19 test result. Remember to check entry requirements at your destination; certain countries don’t accept some AstraZeneca vaccines produced in India (check your vaccine passport for the following batch numbers: 4120Z001, 4120Z002 and 4120Z003). However, many countries allow entry with proof of a recent negative Covid-19 test result. For further travel guidance and information, visit gov.uk. SARAH BARRELL
