Break from the norm

Being a new mum on maternity leave can be extremely lonely, and sometimes it’s easy to feel trapped in your own home. During this time, National Geographic Traveller (UK) has always been an escape from the daily routine and makes me feel like I’m in the places from the articles. The article about Zagreb (May 2022) also encouraged me to look at booking a city break in the near future: I had no idea that Zagreb had such a fascinating culture and, most importantly, a coffee culture (I’m a big fan of a cuppa). I’m looking forward to my trip to the Croatian capital and to your next edition, no doubt to find another hidden gem for our travels.
