Distant memories
Jamie Lafferty’s feature on Chile’s Lake District (Jul/Aug 2022) brought back my own memories of the region. My visit was to the area south of Pucón, taking in the Huilo-Huilo Biological Reserve. The waterfalls along the Fuy River are spectacular while the perfect reflections of Mocho-Choshuenco volcano in Panguipulli Lake are a photographer’s dream. An excellent base is the waterfront city of Valdivia, where sea lions attend the fish market alongside the local traders. Thank you for featuring a beautiful area of a remarkable country.
