WHEN TO GO

-

The Peruvian Amazon is dictated by distinct rainy and dry seasons. From May to the end of September, water levels are decreasing, reducing (but not eliminating) the number of mosquitos and improving the chance of seeing wildlife at the smaller riverbanks. Wet season typically starts in October and will change the complexion of the visit, improving the mobility of the ships and skiffs, while also increasing the range of the animals. Expect high humidity at all times of year.
