Belgian adventures

I love National Geographic Traveller (UK) for its travel tips and wonderful photos. The walking tour of Bruges (On the Trail, Jan/Feb 2023) tempted me to visit. I joined a cruise that stopped in Zeebrugge, then took a shuttle bus to Blankenberge, the nearest big town. From here, I boarded a train to Bruges. After a short journey, I was in the centre, with the Belfry, the article’s first stop, in sight — and my screenshot of the page meant the next stops were easily found. It was -3C, but spirits were high and Bruges very welcoming. JOHN MURRAY
