She’s had a tumultuous time since her split from Brad Pitt in 2016, but now Angelina Jolie has set her sights on hunky Scottish actor Richard Madden, an insider has exclusively told new!.
According to our source, Ange took a shine to the 32-year-old after seeing his screen test for her new Marvel movie, The Eternals. And it seems the pair have already bonded.
“Richard has pretty much got the part after his screen test went down really well – but it’s also down to the great chemistry he has with Angelina,” revealed our mole. “It’s early days, but Richard is definitely
someone Angelina has her eye on. She thinks he’s incredibly handsome and talented and feels as though they’ve already been getting close from the few times they’ve been in the same room together. Bodyguard, Richard moved to LA in a bid to crack America – and starring in a blockbuster with Angelina, 43, would be a pretty strong start. James Mcavoy went on to big things after landing the lead in
Wanted with Ange back in 2008, and if
The Eternals does well it could set Richard on a similar path.
“Richard is very passionate and enthusiastic and Angelina loves the fact that he’s not jaded,” our insider continued. “She’s used to working with a lot of arrogant young male performers and Richard is the opposite. She really wants to help him on his way to becoming a leading man in Hollywood.”
The new project will be a welcome distraction for Ange, whose divorce from Brad Pitt has taken its toll. Though the pair – who have children Maddox,
17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, ten – are now separated, they’re yet to finalise the divorce settlement.
Meanwhile, Richard has been single since splitting from actress Ellie Bamber in January and will be committed to making his Stateside move pay off. “Now that Angelina is officially a single woman, she’s feeling as though she’s ready to date again and meet new people,” our source continued.
“She can’t wait to start filming this new project because she hopes by that time the divorce will be wrapped up and she can start living her life the way she wants to.
“If all goes well, Richard will be getting to know the kids as well, as Angelina plans on taking her whole brood on location with her to Atlanta.”
