GET A GRIP, PERRIE!
We nearly spat out our tea when we saw Perrie Edwards’ birthday Instagram post last week.
Sharing three pics of herself in a bright yellow crochet floral bikini and matching sunhat during a birthday getaway with some pals, the Little Mix star described turning 26 years old as “Gross”. Yes, really.
Certain members of the new! team can barely even remember being 26 (all those celeb parties take a toll on the brain cells, you know!), so we’re struggling to sympathise with the singer.
“26. AS IF I’m 26! Gross,” she captioned the cute snap – although she did thank everyone for making her feel “so special” on her birthday.
As one quarter of the world’s biggest girlband, with a whole range of megabucks endorsement deals and with a rumoured individual worth of more than £12 million, Perrie’s life doesn’t look too bad to us.
And let’s not forget she’s also winning in the relationship stakes, having been with her doting boyfriend, Liverpool FC star Alex Oxladechamberlain, for two years. Perrie’s bandmates did the right thing and chose to ignore their pal’s slightly melodramatic comment. “Beautiful! Happy birthday Queen!” Leigh-anne Pinnock wrote, while Jesy Nelson simply posted four heart eyes emojis.
If 26 is something to moan about, God help the rest of us. Pour yourself a glass of champs and relax, Pez. Cheers!
