‘I WANT A JAMES BOND’

Francesca Allen reveals the kind of man she’s really set her sights on in the Love Island villa

- JULIA BROOKS

Ever since Essex bombshell Francesca Allen strutted into the villa we’ve been gripped by her fearless attitude and determination to bag the man of her dreams.

After fellow Islander Maura Higgins snogged the face off Curtis Pritchard following his romantic date with Francesca, it didn’t take long for the 23-year-old to swoop back in and couple up with the ballroom dancer. Eek!

Before heading into the villa, Francesca – who is a clothing store manager – opened up about what she’s looking for in a man, what her dating no-nos are and why she can count the TOWIE cast as close pals.

Take it away, Francesca…

Hi Francesca! What’s your idea of the perfect guy?

I just want someone who will really love and care for me and look after me. I want them to be fun and random like I am. I’m quite a tall girl, I’m 5ft 8in, and most people in Essex are 5ft 5in, so I tend to like people my height or taller.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Pierce Brosnan – but when he’s James Bond. I want a James Bond.

Are you pals with any celebrities?

I know quite a lot of the TOWIE cast – Georgia Kousoulou, Chloe Ross, Chloe Lewis – they all come to the shop. My sister’s boyfriend is Sam Faiers’ boyfriend’s brother, so we know each other. Jack Fowler was my personal trainer for a while, he’s really nice.

How far are you prepared to go to get your man?

I do not like upsetting people. I don’t like hurting anyone’s feelings. But I think life is too short. If you don’t go for something that you really want, you’ll regret it. If you’re open and honest, it’s the best way to be.

Do you think that anyone in the villa is playing games?

From the beginning I didn’t buy Amy and Curtis [as a couple]. They were a bit awkward. It was a funny relationship. I wasn’t surprised when they broke up.

How do you tend to meet the guys you date?

I don’t like dating apps, I like to meet face to face. I think you just know from there whether you have a connection with someone. I fancy people’s mannerisms more than their looks.

What has been your most disastrous dating experience

so far?

I went out with a boy and we went to a fancy restaurant in the West End. Our starters came out and he scoffed and laughed at me because I picked up the starter knife and fork. He said he was surprised I knew which knife and fork to use. I got up from the table and left. I was so insulted. How could he think I didn’t know basic table manners? So arrogant. I don’t like it when people think they are above everyone else.

What’s a turn-off for you in a guy?

Bad shoes. If I see bad shoes, I think, “Oh no.” Sometimes it shows how they take care of themselves. And someone who thinks they are better than you. It really bothers me. If people start talking to me about money, I just think, “Oh, please.”

What are your best and worst personality traits?

My friends are always really eager to go out with me, so I would say I’m fun, bubbly and very positive. I tend to get told that I can be quite fiery, but at the same time I’m quite a forgiving person. I’m terrible at getting ready. If I can’t find something to wear I will always be late. I tend to be quite spontaneous, so I rush into things before even thinking about them.

How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten – and what would you say is your best feature?

People always compliment me on my smile. And I would say

I’m a seven – let’s go with better than average.

Describe your definition of girl code…

I always think you should speak to people if you have the opportunity to. Kindness costs nothing. It’s hard, though, because if you feel like you like someone and they are your potential future, how can you stop yourself pursuing them if they’re with a girl you don’t really know and have no loyalty to?
