Ariana ‘I was drunk and sad’
ariana grande has opened up about turning to alcohol after her ex Mac Miller’s fatal overdose last September, admitting her grief was “all-consuming”.
Looking back on recording her most recent album, Thank U, Next, which she made after Mac’s death, she confessed, “I don’t remember those months of my life. I was (a) so drunk and (b) so sad. I don’t really remember how it started or how it finished, or how all of a sudden there were 10 songs on the board.”
The 26-year-old also credited the album for forcing her to “face the shit” in her life.
