The couple have been practising mindfulness together in a bid to strengthen their bond
All eyes were on David and Victoria Beckham as they attended the GQ Men Of The Year Awards last week, with Posh playing the doting wife as her hubby affectionately led her by the hand along the red carpet.
Their renewed closeness is no surprise to their inner circle, with an insider telling new! the pair have been practising mindfulness techniques to strengthen their bond after recently celebrating their
20-year wedding anniversary.
Mindfulness is a process where you take time to appreciate the present without making any judgments – something most couples could probably benefit from!
“Victoria and David are in the strongest place ever in their marriage, thanks to Victoria adopting a new marriage mindfulness mantra,” our source
revealed. “They’ve gone through so much in the past couple of years and are constantly juggling long periods apart because of their frantic schedules.
“But Victoria especially has been proactive in taking stock and taking time to rethink their marriage strategy to get them back to that powerful, strong united marriage they had right from the start.”
And there’s no better time for the couple to reinforce their relationship, as they will soon be living thousands of miles apart. David co-owns football team Inter Miami CF and will be moving stateside, while Posh stays in London with their kids Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz,
14, and eight-year-old Harper.
Our mole explained that Posh, 45, wanted to make sure she and her hubby are rock solid before he moves across the pond. “Around a month ago, Victoria sat down with David and said she wants them to make their relationship wellbeing the number one priority, as she felt they had been going through the motions and taking on too much,” our insider revealed.
“The difference it’s made to their marriage is phenomenal. Posh wanted to banish the public negativity around their marriage by building their relationship again from ‘ground zero’.”
And it’s paying off. Last week, Posh gushed about her hubby after he won the Editor’s Special Award at the glitzy GQ bash for his long-serving contribution to fashion, as well as football and philanthropy.
“It’s been a 20-year journey of outstanding looks,” she said. “It’s what makes David the fashion icon he is. He’s really inspiring. He’s the best daddy anybody could ever hope for.”
And David, 44, wrote on Instagram, “Proud to be with my family tonight.”
“You can see the new stronger bond that they have,” our mole continued. “It’s almost like they are newlyweds.”
