The mum-of-four isn’t happy her hubby’s trying to tighten the purse strings!
Victoria Beckham has already been forced to slash her salary following the news that her fashion empire has lost millions – but now we can reveal hubby David has advised her to cut some costs in her personal life, too.
“David’s been encouraging Vic to apply cutbacks to her daily life on a personal basis as well as to the business,” a source close to the couple told us. “He thinks she needs to change her mindset and start spending more mindfully.”
However, his suggestion has left Victoria feeling less than impressed, as she feels he’s been enjoying a luxury lifestyle over in the States, where he is now based to focus on football team Inter Miami, which he part owns.
“She’s been feeling quite resentful of David, watching him splash out on his new Miami pad while he encourages her to cut back on her lifestyle choices,” our insider revealed. “While David insisted he’s incredibly proud of what she’s achieved and is merely trying to help, Vic said she can’t help feeling like David’s lost faith in her and her business.”
Posh, 45, whose brand suffered a £12.3 million loss last year, has taken drastic measures to save money, letting go of her chauffeur and florist. Opening up about her struggle to stay at the top of her game, she said last week, “You realise it’s much more difficult to maintain success than it is to actually achieve it – and it’s not as glamorous as people would think.”
But the couple put tensions behind them last week as they enjoyed a break with Posh’s old Spice Girl bandmate Emma Bunton and her fiancé Jade Jones. Posting a snap of the gang together, Vic wrote on Instagram that they had “the most perfect few days”.
In another post, she gushed about David, 44, and their kids Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz,
14, and eight-year-old Harper.
“@davidbeckham and I have come a long way – we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and every day my family makes me the proudest mum – I love u so much,” she wrote.
