‘This was really weird!’

Reality star Sam Gowland on sitting down to eat with his ex

-

Forget all the on-off drama with Chloe Ferry, Love Island star Sam Gowland will be sitting down for a meal with another former flame this week, on BBC show Eating With My Ex. He’ll be dining with ex-girlfriend and fellow Islander Georgia Harrison, to talk through what went wrong in their relationship over some posh grub.

It could be awks, given that Georgia, 25, dumped him over Twitter just over a month after they left the villa in 2017, following rumours he’d cheated. And indeed, down-to-earth Sam, 24, admits it was “nerve-wracking”.

Here, he spills the tea…

So Sam, what was it like filming Eating With My Ex?

I’ve done a lot of different programmes, but I’d say this was one of the more enjoyable ones. It was nerve-wracking and I didn’t know whether it was going to be awkward, but once we got into the swing of things it was good.

Are you and Georgia on friendly terms now?

It was really weird, because we’d not spoken for a year or so. That was the first time we’d seen each other since Love Island, but we’ve remained friends since.

You and Chloe were in Thailand over the new year. Would you rule out getting back together?

Who knows what’s going to happen in the future?!

Tease! When you were apart, did you have many girls slide into your DMS?

I’ve not really been checking. I’ve been concentrating on my training [for an MMA fight].

Would you ever do Eating

With My Ex with Chloe, if it came to it?

[Laughs] If the opportunity came up, it’s something I’d have to think about. Never say never!

And are you going back to Geordie Shore?

I finished filming two months ago, but with the new series I had to make a decision whether to do

Geordie Shore or train for the fight.

But that’s not to say I won’t do the next series. If the dates marry up, I’ll be back in the house.

Eating With My Ex is available on BBC iplayer now and BBC1 on Wednesday 15 January, 10.35pm
