- Michelle posts about her health and fitness on Instagram @Michellemone

How often do you exercise?

Normally it would be one hour a day, six days a week. But during lockdown I’ve been doing an hour in the gym in the morning, another hour around 4pm and then a walk for an hour and a half to two hours after dinner.

Is walking a big part of your exercise routine?

Walking is free and it’s fantastic. It clears your mind, it gets the creative side of your brain going and it tones up your legs and bum.

Do you play any sports?

No, but I’d like to take up golf because it would be something nice that Doug [Barrowman, Michelle’s fiancé] and I could do together. I’m bad at it though and haven’t got great patience, so I’d end up doing a John Mcenroe and throwing the club across the green [laughs].

What’s your favourite part of your body?

I’ve worked hard to get my abs and at my age, to have abs the way I do, I’m not frightened of showing them off. But being a baroness it’s not really appropriate to be going out there with a crop top on.

What’s your top health tip?

To drink as much water as you can in a day because it fills you up and flushes everything out.

Do you ever feel under pressure from social media to look a certain way?

All these women looking perfect puts a huge pressure on people, no matter what age you are.

Who’s your celebrity body inspiration?

J.LO. She’s all woman and I love it! I’m a voluptuous woman as well – I have boobs and a good, round bum.

Does your weight fluctuate much?

Yes, depending on the time of the month, I can put 4lb of fluid on. Women shouldn’t weigh themselves during their time of the month or at night. Always do it first thing in the morning after you’ve been to the toilet. And don’t do it every day

– stick to once a week.

Were you worried about losing your curves after shedding 8st?

My bum did get smaller, but it’s still round. And I have lost weight from my boobs, but I can just wear a padded bra.

You’ve devised a 29-step diet plan. Can you tell us some of the rules you live by?

Potatoes and pasta are banned. I don’t eat carbs at night. I limit fish and seafood to three times a week, but avoid fish that are high in mercury. I only cook in olive oil. I only started eating vegetables when I was 35.
