Davina Mccall looked happier than ever as she was pictured taking a stroll in Kent last week after moving into her new house. While she quashed rumours it’s her “forever home” following her split from ex-husband Matthew Robertson, the father of her children Holly, 18, Tilly, 16, and Chester, 13, the TV presenter confessed she was feeling good about her fresh start.

“I haven’t moved into my forever home to get over my divorce,” the 52-year-old admitted during an Instagram Live. “I’m renting this house for a year. Moving is full on, but cathartic and good.”

Davina has a lot to smile about. Along with settling into her new place, she’s also made her long-awaited

Big Brother

return for the

Best Shows

series on E4 with Rylan Clark-neal.

Following its success, there are even whispers the iconic reality show could make a comeback – with Davina at the helm!

“All anyone in the industry can talk about right now is the success of Big Brother’s Best Shows and what a huge ratings smash it’s been for E4,” a TV insider told new. “No one would be surprised if Channel 4 recommissioned Big Brother for a new series – it still has a huge fan base and so many people love Davina and associate her with the show that she’d undoubtedly be the favourite to host it again.

“She has always been synonymous with the brand and seeing her back on the box as part of the Best Shows programme has only reminded people how brilliant she is. Her love of the show shines through, even after all this time. I’d be shocked if she wasn’t snapped up for a rebooted series.”

Our mole added that other broadcasters are also eyeing up the opportunity to bring the show back after being impressed by the viewing figures.

“Big Brother has piqued the interest of other channels too – they’ve seen the ratings and will be desperate for new content once the pandemic eases up, so there could be a bidding war to bring it back,” our insider said. “Right now any show’s success is being taken seriously. TV companies are struggling enormously, so the show is on people’s radar. Davina will have her pick of the offers at this rate.”

Iconic former Big Brother housemates have also thrown their weight behind Davina making a return for good. Aisleyne Horgan-wallace told

new, “Without any doubt, Big Brother must come back. We need it as part of our lives. Just like the air we breathe and food we eat, it has to be Big Brother we watch.” The 41-year-old added, “I’d love Davina to host it again. I absolutely adore her. Just as I love Rylan too. They’re such huge fans of the show. Maybe they should do it together?”

Josie Gibson agreed, telling us, “It’s so nice to see Davina back

‘DAVINA HAS ALWAYS BEEN SYNONYMOUS WITH THE BRAND’

on our screens. Every time I see Davina’s face, I just feel safe.

Even though I get totally starstruck still. She is a little fire cracker. They broke the mould when they made Davina.”

Josie, 35, added, “I’ve got a newfound respect for the show. It was such a brilliant concept and it totally changed TV. It was the start of reality TV. It was a sensational show and I can’t wait to watch the rest.”

And 2006 winner Chantelle Houghton admitted to new, “I’d love to see Big Brother back on our screens. It was such a brilliant experience and I can see the demand for a show like this. We all currently need a little mood lift and that’s exactly what Big Brother is all about.

“Davina is the original Big

Brother host and in my eyes she’s always been the face of the show. It would be brilliant if she took over this role again.”

Davina has made no secret of her soft spot for the series. Tweeting along last week, she wrote, “Oh my god. I love this is so much #bbuk @Rylan.” And speaking about being asked to host the 20th anniversary series, she previously admitted, “Well they said ‘Big Brother’ and I just said, ‘Yes!’ I didn’t even know what it was. They asked if I wanted to know what it was and I said, ‘No, it’s fine. I’ll do it.’”

Rylan, 31, has said he’s desperate for the show to return. “Next for me is to make sure that Big Brother comes back bigger and better than ever – I’ll be flying that flag as high as possible to make it a reality,” he confessed.

We’re with you on that, Rylan!
