Ingredients
2 tbsp soy sauce
30g honey
3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp oil (use sesame oil if you don’t have a nut allergy)
300g stir fry beef strips
320g hot and spicy stir fry vegetable mix
IPE THE EK
Method
■ In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and ginger together.
■ Brush a non-stick pan with a small amount of the oil and brown the beef for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
■ Add the soy sauce mix straight into the frying pan and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
■ Meanwhile, place a large wok on a high heat, add the oil and wait for it to heat up. Add the stir fry vegetable mix and stir fry for around 3 minutes. Then divide between two plates.
■ Once the sauce has reduced down and started going sticky, add the beef back into the frying pan and stir to coat all the pieces.
■ Divide the beef between the two dishes and serve straight away.
Tip: Pre-made stir fry veg mixes make this dish quick to prepare, but you could use your own version that equals the same weight if you prefer. Try beansprouts, pak choi, peppers and red cabbage.
