Frankie Bridge

-

Frankie Bridge revealed her son Parker suffered separation anxiety after spending so long at home with her and his retired footballer dad Wayne. Following weeks of lockdown, the six-year-old returned to school, with his little brother Carter, four, going back part-time.

“Parker started back at school today and Carter’s going in for an hour, so I’m going in backwards and forwards,” said Frankie on Instagram Stories.

“I just felt like it was time. [Parker] was getting really bad separation anxiety from Wayne and I, if we ever left the house to go to the shops or if Wayne went to golf. I felt like it was time for him to have a bit of normality, whatever that is.”

The former Saturdays singer, 31, admitted she has also struggled with the sudden parting after lockdown. “He seemed really happy when he went in today. I think I’m the one finding it the weirdest. It just felt really wrong for him not to be with us and to just drop him off with someone else,” she confided.

To add to her heartache, Frankie told fans the family’s beloved chihuahua

Pixie had died, saying, “I spent most of yesterday crying and upset which was really rubbish.”

Along with Presley the pug, Pixie had been re-homed because of Parker’s breathing problems.

The family often visited the dogs, which lived nearby, but lockdown meant they didn’t get a chance to say goodbye.

Hope things start looking up soon, Frankie.
