These celeb mums open up about their parenting problems

Millie Mackintosh has opened up about how she struggled to breastfeed her daughter Sienna after giving birth in May.

Sharing a snap of her feeding the tot on Instagram, Millie, 30, admitted she found it “really tough” in the beginning.

“Although Sienna now latches on easily and is a good eater, it definitely didn’t start that way. The first few days I had blistered, cracked nipples and the pain was so intense, I really didn’t know how I was going to carry on,” she wrote.

“I spent hours online trying to find the best ‘professional’ advice on anything that would make the pain and dread stop, as I so desperately wanted to continue to breastfeed my baby girl. I found myself totally overwhelmed with all the conflicting advice which only made my anxiety worse.”

Millie, who is mum to Sienna with husband Hugo Taylor, went on to say she had joined the app Peanut to get some tips from other mums, which made her feel “less alone”.

She added, “Despite the blood, sweat, tears, and feeling like I’m leaking milk through countless outfits… it’s all worth it when I look down and see Sienna’s tiny hand wrapped around my finger, watching her grow stronger every day. My heart melts when she gives the gift of a little smile.”

The former Made In Chelsea star previously confessed she was still learning to adjust to life as a new mum. “Coping with less sleep feels different every day and definitely makes you more emotional when you’re tired,” she said. “There’s been moments of tired frustration and tears, but you do get used to it.”

You’re doing a great job, Millie.
