Bista’s a Beaut

I took a beautiful picture of myself and Princess when we were on holiday in Portugal. I tell her she’s beautiful all the time, but she says to me, “Dad, I don’t look good”.

although she isn’t allowed to have the comments turned on on her Instagram yet because I don’t want her to ever see any negativity as it can scar people, I did let her read the ones on mine about the photo because they were all so nice. I felt confident enough for her to read them and for her to see that people think she’s a natural little beauty. It boosted her confidence.

I totally understand wanting to use filters to make a picture look brighter – I always flick to the right for a nice, brighter filter, lol – but I tell her she shouldn’t be worrying about those things because there’s nothing better than people saying you look better in real life than in photos. That’s what I think, anyway!
