- Ellie Kirwin-jones

Zara Mcdermott is keen to get engaged and start a family with boyfriend Sam Thompson after getting their relationship back on track, a source told new.

“Zara is very keen on fast-tracking things with

Sam and would love to be engaged and have a family as soon as possible,” our source claimed. “Sam’s a bit more reluctant and tends to put the brakes on things.”

The Made In Chelsea couple were dating for 16 months until their dramatic split last year when Zara, 24, admitted to cheating on Sam, 28. It was revealed Zara was unfaithful to the star during her time on The X Factor: Celebrity in late 2019.

Zara pleaded for Sam’s forgiveness for weeks and the pair eventually reconciled shortly before Christmas.

Zara recently posted a snap of her kissing Sam two years ago, revealing how she is now a “different” person. “I was quite literally a different person back then,” she recalled.

“In so many ways, physically and emotionally! What a difference two years makes.”

And now that Sam’s sister Louise Thompson and her fiancé Ryan Libbey have a baby on the way, our source told us that

Zara is hoping this exciting news will speed things along for her and Sam.

“Zara hopes when Louise and Ryan have their baby, it will turn things around for Sam,” the source said. “He doesn’t like to feel like he’s missing out, and will want to be involved in the parent gang.

She hopes it will make him broody. It’s certainly made her want a baby.”

They added, “Zara hopes Sam becoming an uncle will make him more keen to start their own family. She hopes he’ll soon realise they’re ready for that next stage of their romance.”
