Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash put wedding on hold as they prepare for a new addition
After announcing the happy news that she and Joe Swash are expecting a baby, Stacey Solomon is hoping for a daughter this time around, a source close to the star tells new.
“They would love a little girl because they’ve got the boys,” our source says. “A baby girl would be really wonderful for them. Obviously they just want a healthy baby, but it would be just the perfect family dynamic in their beautiful home.”
Stacey, 31, who is already mum to two-year-old Rex with Joe,
39, and Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships, admitted she’s so “grateful” to be expecting another child after suffering a number of miscarriages.
“For a really long time we’ve been trying for another pickle,” the Loose Women presenter said. “we decided we were so lucky already to have our boys. it is our biggest privilege in life, and we are so grateful to be parents, so we stopped trying and counted ourselves lucky – so, so, so blessed already.”
Our source revealed, “Stacey and Joe were trying for a long time but they ended up saying, ‘Let’s not think about it.’ They thought, ‘if it happens, it happens. if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.’ They’re both over the moon. Joe loves being a dad. He’s so hands-on. He absolutely loves it.
“Stacey has found it quite nerve-racking because, obviously, she’s been through quite a bit. They took their time to announce it. But they’re so excited and they’re so happy everything has gone well.”
Last week, Stacey announced that their summer wedding, which the couple had planned for their garden in July, has been pushed back a few months as they want to wait until they’ve welcomed the new baby into their family.
“we both said we’d be a bit gutted to look back at our pictures if all of our babies weren’t there,” Stacey confessed. “So for the sake of a few months we will do it when they’re all here.”
The source added, “They had only planned to have an intimate wedding anyway. They really want to wait until the baby comes so that they could all be there on the day.”
