This Morning?

I used to, because it is the best way to learn, but I don’t any more because it makes me feel uncomfortable. I don’t even like the sound of my own voice. But because I am talking about health and it is important that the information I give is accurate and perceived in the way it was intended, I do occasionally watch myself back just to check.

What do you enjoy watching on television?

I love a good drama, such as Line Of Duty. I liked Bodyguard.

I enjoy anything action-packed that has me on the edge of my seat. I don’t watch as much TV as I used to though, because I have a young baby [Zoe has a seven-month-old son, Lisbon] and it’s one of the things I’ve had to sacrifice.

What are your TV turn-offs?

I can’t stand musicals, they really irritate me. I know I sound like a bit of a Scrooge, but

Mamma Mia! – I know some people love that movie, but to me it is TV hell.

Who controls the remote in your house?

It’s about 50/50. [My partner] Stuart and I both love Strictly, it’s our favourite programme, but other than that, we have different tastes. What we normally do is I will pick three TV shows or movies and Stuart will pick one and then he gets his turn. Often I’ll pick three and he’ll say, “I don’t want to watch any of those,” so we’ll just end up sitting there eating cheese.

What movies can you watch again and again?

It used to be the

Superman movies –

I watched them all many, many times. Back To The Future too. I can watch films like The Holiday over and over again. Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, Love Actually, that sort of thing.

Are you a binge watcher?

I used to be, but because I have a baby I don’t turn on the TV until 8pm. I used to love binge watching on a Sunday, but now I never watch more than two episodes of anything in one sitting.
