‘Prison could be a turning point for Katie’

The reality star could be facing jail time after being charged with harassment – but a source claims it may be a blessing in disguise

Katie Price’s family are hoping the troubled star will learn from her mistakes after it was revealed she could be facing time in jail, a source has told new.

Last week, Katie, 43, was charged with harassing ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancée michelle Penticost over an alleged message. She’s been accused of breaching a restraining order against michelle and will appear in court next month. But a source claimed that those close to Katie believe the prospect of her potentially serving time in prison could be a blessing in disguise.

“Katie’s family want her to embrace her mistakes and learn from them. If she was sent to prison one day, it could actually be a turning point for her,” our source claimed.

“It could be what she needs to make her finally sit up and see sense.

Those close to her are tired of her blaming others for her own actions – and hope this could be a wake-up call for her,” they continued.

“They hope she will finally be accountable for her own actions, take a step back, apologise and mean it.”

However, according to our source, it seems Katie, who has now returned home from her holiday in Thailand with fiancé Carl Woods, isn’t so sure.

“Katie appears to be in denial,” added the source.

The mum-of-five was arrested back in January and spent 12 hours in a police cell. She was previously banned from contacting michelle “directly or indirectly” after swearing at her outside a school playground in 2019.

The new charge comes after Katie was handed a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for a year, following a drink-drive car crash last September while she was banned from the road. Katie avoided jail and was ordered to undertake treatment at the Priory.
