Nate discover Moira has supposedly left for Scotland. At the prison, Cain struggles with Moira’s departure and unlikely return.
Elsewhere, Chas is thrown when Kerry asks if she’ll accompany her to Al’s funeral, which she declines as it’s the same time as Liv’s send-off. When Chas steals Al’s order of service and becomes upset, Paddy starts to question if there’s more to her grief. Later, Kerry discovers Al’s affair and finds support in Chas of all people – unaware of her betrayal. Chas – with a guilty conscience – encourages Kerry to make a big decision.
Samson suggests Esther is put up for adoption. He rows with Noah then calls social services and asks them to take her into care.
Jack decides to arrange a belated birthday dinner for Amy, while Sam tries to get invited so she can build bridges with Ricky – and uses her old keys to surprise Amy with a dress.
Heading upstairs, she walks in on Amy and is shocked by what she sees. In The Vic, Jack is annoyed by Amy’s absence until she shows up with Sam, hoping the invitation will keep her quiet about what she saw. Later, Sam tells Jack about Amy, not realising she has heard everything...
Bernie tries to play Fern at her own game, suggesting a party to celebrate the fake lottery win in a bid to reel her in. The plan works as Howard shares the good news that Fern has been in touch and wants to meet.
Later, as Bernie waits at the bus stop, a man throws a bag over her head and bundles her into the back of his van. Is she in danger? And Gemma becomes suspicious when Howard calls at the house and states the value of the stolen jewellery, as it’s only something that the thief would know.
Elsewhere, Alfie tries to reassure Kat that he has everything under control and challenges the boys to guess the code to Phil’s safe. But when they guess correctly and discover £30k inside, Alfie quickly hurries them to put the money back.
Later, when Alfie is forced to drive Vi to bingo, a masked gunman jumps into his cab, demanding he be his getaway driver. And when Stacey calls about Phil’s safe, the gunman overhears and orders Alfie to take him to it…
Elsewhere, Yasmeen admits to Stu that she still has feelings for him. She suggests they share a bedroom so there’s space for Eliza as the social worker confirms she can move in.
Later, when Eliza asks after her mum, Stu says they could go to visit her together.
Meanwhile, Leanne drops the bombshell on Nick that Harvey has agreed to see Sam in prison, while Hope realises how much she has in common with her dad after getting a copy of the John Stape book.
Grace proves her worth when she successfully finds a contact for Norma and Warren after becoming embroiled in their latest scheme.
There’s a surprise in store for Norma when she meets the contact and it’s up to Warren and Grace to save her. However, an unexpected twist leaves someone else close to death…
Demarcus receives another shocking anonymous text as he lays tracks with Vicky to find the culprit through a process of elimination, which narrows down to Mason. Wanting justice, Felix tells Honour about Mason’s messages.
