Caught drink-driving on Christmas Day
A HUNGERFORD man has been convicted of drink-driving on Christmas Day.
Miles Edward Todman appeared for sentencing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 15.
The 25-year-old, of Atherton Crescent, admitted driving a blue
Vauxhall Corsa on the A338 at Hungerford on December 25 last year after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 50mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg. Mr Todman further admitted driving without insurance and driving without a valid licence on the same occasion.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs, as well as a statutory victim services surcharge of £34.
In addition, he was banned from driving for 16 months.
A MAN has been accused of using threatening or insulting words or behaviour.
On Wednesday, February 17, Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against Joshua Kieron Eaton.
The
Street, 23-year-old,
Kintbury, of Church was not required to be present but was legally represented.
Mr Eaton is charged with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Shahul Shaju in Newbury on September 13 last year, with intent to cause his victim to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him, or that it was likely that such violence would be provoked.
Magistrates adjourned the case and meanwhile extended conditional bail to Mr Eaton until the next hearing, when he will be expected to attend court and to enter a plea to the single charge.
