Planned road closures in May

-

WEST Berkshire Council has posted notice of planned road closures across the district during April and May.

Blandys Lane, Upper Basildon, will be closed between its junction with Bethesda Street and its junction with Darby Lane.

The closure is to enable Thames Water to carry out sewer cleaning and it is expected that the work will be undertaken between 9.30am and 3.30pm on May 12.

A diversion will be in place via Bethesda Street, Aldworth Road and Darby Lane.

Church Lane, in Enborne, will be closed between its junction with an unnamed road from Wheatlands Lane to Church Lane and its junction with an unnamed road from Vanners Lane to Skinners Green.

The closure, which is expected to be in place between May 3 and May 6, is to enable Thames Water to carry out utility repairs and maintenance. A diversion will be in place.

The proposed orders will come into effect on April 26 and, unless stated otherwise, will remain in force for a period of 18 months, or until the works are complete, whichever is the soonest.
