Eggs-tra special Easter at West Berks Foodbank thanks to A-Plan

-

THE West Berks Foodbank received something eggs-tra from a Thatcham-based company this Easter.

A-Plan Insurance Thatcham donated 137 Easter eggs to the foodbank following an appeal.

The company’s business development manager Carlie Norwell decided to make the donation and asked colleagues if they wanted to contribute

She said: “I grew up in Wokingham and we often used foodbanks and things like that.

“I know how much it’s appreciated the other end, so I thought I would go and buy some.

“Lots of money came in and I loaded up my trolley twice, with a two-year-old as well, which was great fun.”

The eggs were dropped at the foodbank so they could distributed in time for Easter Sunday.

Mrs Norwell said: “It was a fantasic turn out, we filled three of their trolleys.”

The deed was shared among other A-Plan branches, leading others to donate more eggs.

Mrs Norwell encouraged people to download the foodbank app which shows what items the charity needs.
