Elissa’s happy Easter
A PUPIL at Mary Hare Primary School has won a competition to design Easter greetings cards.
Ten-year-old Elissa RubaneVace’s winning designs are to be included on cards to be distributed among residents at Cherry Blossom Meadow.
This Newbury housing development is managed by David Wilson Homes Southern, which organised the competition.
In addition, Elissa has won a £20 book token and an Easter egg.
David Wilson Homes Southern sales director Rob Allen said: “It was a difficult task choosing a winner due to the fantastic entries we received and, although Elissa’s artistic design stood out on this occasion, we’d like to thank all of the pupils at Mary Hare Primary School for their excellent efforts.
“Elissa’s cards will be distributed to all of our Cherry Blossom Meadow residents before Easter and we’re sure they’ll put a smile on many faces.”
Mary Hare Primary School headteacher Rob Rattray said: “The children really enjoyed designing their Easter cards for this competition and Elissa was delighted that her design was chosen.
“I am pretty sure that her chocolate egg has already been devoured and Elissa is looking forward to choosing her book with the £20 token.”
