Man denies damaging Mini

A MAN has denied causing criminal damage to a Hungerford woman’s car.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 25, was Nicholas Francis Heavingham.

The 30-year-old used to live in Coldharbour Road, Hungerford, but now lives in London Road, Newbury.

Mr Heavingham is charged with causing £115 worth of criminal damage to the windscreen of a Mini car belonging to Rebecca Lees in

Hungerford on November 17 last year.

Mr Heavingham, who also uses the surname Matthews, according to the court, was legally represented and spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.

He was told that the case could progress no further that day and the matter was adjourned for a trial to be fixed.

Mr Heavingham was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
